      film adaptations of each work.

Evaluation
Your final grade for this class will based on four factors:
Participation - This will include class attendance, participation in class discussion
and facebook postings. You are expected to come to every class,
awake and prepared, and should complete the facebook postings
on time. Participation is 20% of your grade.

Comprehension Tests - We will have four tests in total for the two works of
literature we are reading. They will be straightforward
comprehension test on the reading material. We will have
a review before each test. These are 20% of your grade.

Midterm Exam - The midterm exam will only be taken from the first novel. It will be
several short discussion questions in which you will be graded on
comprehension and writing. Midterm will be 30% of your grade.

Final Exam -  The midterm exam will only be taken from the first novel. It will be
several short discussion questions in which you will be graded on
comprehension and writing. Midterm will be 30% of your grade.

Communication - Communication is the most important part of any teacher's job. It is
important for you as students to feel comfortable communicating any
issues you have that are class related. Some of you may not feel as
comfortable approaching me with your problems. To help you and I
communicate more efficiently and comfortably, we are going to use
Kakao Talk as a means of communication. You will receive any
important messages or reminders from me in a group chat. If you
have a personal issue that you need solved, you can see me after
class or communicate with Kakao Talk. This means you should
always be able to reach me if you have questions, or problems that
                             arise.
